Perhaps a collective citizens group working with Euopean leaders can lobby, forcing our governments to act responsibly regarding climate change. Force our gov'ts to act independantly of oil companies; ensure they do what's right for the planet and not the good ol' boys club of the rich and dangerous. Having other world leaders working on our behalf to save us from our government(s) is a sad state of affairs; but sadly it's needed. I'm not sure how to make that happen but it would be newsworthy. Anyway it's late, I'm tired and I'm just frustrated with the idea of dirty oil from the Alberta tar sands project and Stephen "the oilman" Harper ruining Canada's reputation as an educated and respected country. We do need to follow the money, and it leads back to the billions in the accounts of fossil fuel companies. They've sponsored a campaign of misinformation, and you've fallen for it hook, line, and sinker. How does the fact that the 2000s will go down as the warmest decade in history, that 2009 will be one of the two or three warmest years on record, or that the sea levels are rising almost twice as fast as the 1990s do anything but prove you don't have a clue.
