Re: East Anglia University Climate Research Unit (CRU) – How sad that billion$ in grant funding have been tossed to unethical researchers while this money could have improved the lives of millions in third world countries.
Our school and university science depts. must be proud of themselves today – East Anglia’s CRU “outing” is just the tip of the iceberg – Greenpeace, the Sierra Club and the WWF have been exposed also…
Follow the money, follow the charlatans, and watch those who have profitted from the AGW scare-mongering turn brown in the days ahead. Goodbye AGW scams – hello sanity! Kudo’s to Climate Audit and Watts Up With That for doing the job CBC, The Chronicle Herald and One Blue Marble have been singing – La, La, La – I can’t hear you!
Keep up your hands over your ears, Shirley, and keep la-la-la’ing. Meanwhile, the ice caps and permafrost are melting, and the Maldives (and other climate-vulnerable island nations) are disappearing. Not everyone has the privilege of that kind of response to this global crisis.
Except Christinge non of those things are happening. I was in the maldives last year and no sea level rise. Those are just issues that are scary but aren’t based in reality that people throw out there to scare you.
The sea levels are not rising any faster than they ever have
Polar bears are at record numbers
Mount kilamunjaro is shrinking because they cut down all the trees around it and it has less precipitation.
The artic ice is still there.
We’ve been duped by corrupt researchers, time to start paying attention again to real environmental issues like clean air and water.
Cam…
Can you give me one reference to a peer-reviewed journal to support anything you’ve said? You’ll find scientific links to every point I make on this site (though not on every post).
I report on global warming issues for a business publication. I can suggest a dozen scientific references which show that the seas are rising. I also know that a team investigated Mount Kilimanjaro — one researcher blamed the melting on global warming, another said he couldn’t say with certainty, and it might be other factors.
The polar bear comment is a non-starter… no one knows for sure how many there are — some surveys suggest a decline, some an increase — but we do know their habitat is being destroyed, so concern over the polar bear is mostly a projection.
The arctic sea ice is at record lows. Has been for three years. I believe we’ll set a shocking new record in 2010.
So far, we have NO evidence of corruption by any of the climate scientists involved. Just bad behavior. Shall we wait for proof? (See today’s post)
YOU have been duped by corrupt oil companies. Time for you to read up on what THEY’VE been doing. Might I suggest the Union of Concerned Scientists.

By addressing climate change, we will clean up our air and water. They go hand in hand.
